Introducing Chris Ayden, a Nashville-based American singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music seamlessly blends alternative rock and soulful Americana into a sound that’s all his own.
As an independent self-managed artist, Chris has already made impressive strides in the music industry. Previously, he was the songwriter and frontman of Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Illumination Road, where he worked alongside Matt Sorum, legendary drummer of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver.
During his time with Illumination Road, Chris shared the stage with heavyweights like Aerosmith and Van Halen, as well as contemporary rockers Rival Sons and Reignwolf. He also contributed the main riff to Billy Gibbons’ track “Shuffle, Step and Slide” on his most recent album, “Hardware”.
Riding the wave of his Bowie-esque rocker “Diamond City,” unveiled in May 2023, Chris Ayden seamlessly pivots to deliver a fusion of heartfelt Americana, Southern Rock, and Alternative Country in his latest single, “Lie To Me.” This mesmerizing track was patiently sculpted over a two-year span, echoing the distinct nuances of two diverse landscapes: the arid expanses of Joshua Tree and the pulsing heart of Nashville.
The result is a lyrically potent song that builds to a captivating, climactic finale, complete with a riveting guitar solo and ethereal, soul-stirring backing vocals that call to mind the iconic work of the Black Crowes and Eric Clapton.
